Switzerland-based power and automation company ABB on Thursday reported third-quarter sales of $7.9 billion, a 29% increase over the same period in 2020 and a 26% increase on a like-for-like basis in local currencies.
Revenues for the third quarter of 2021 were $7 billion, a 7% increase, while income from operations was $852 million.
Gross profit was $2.29 billion, a 25% increase over the third quarter in 2020.
For the first nine months of 2021, ABB sales were $23.6 billion, up 21% from $19.5 billion during the first three quarters of 2020.
Year-to-date 2021 gross profit is $7.07 billion, a 23% increase over the first nine months of 2020.
