Weyerhaeuser Sales Down 4.3% in 2015

Company also plans to merge with Plum Creek Timber Company.

Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY), Federal Way, WA, reported sales for 2015 of $7.1 billion, a decrease of 4.3 percent from the previous year. Profit decreased 74.1 percent to $462 million.

Sales for the fourth quarter were $1.7 billion, down 3 percent year-over-year. Profit decreased 64.5 percent to $59 million.

During the quarter, Weyerhaeuser also announced plans to merge with Plum Creek Timber Company Inc.
