Tools, tool storage and diagnostic repair solutions maker Snap-on announced June 9 that it acquired Diesel Laptops LLC for approximately $100 million in cash. The transaction closed June 8.
Irmo, SC-based Diesel Laptops specializes in diagnostics, repair information and digital solutions for commercial trucks and off-highway vehicles. The company serves heavy-duty repair shops, fleets and equipment customers in markets including mining, agriculture and infrastructure.
Diesel Laptops’ website describes the company as a provider of heavy-duty diagnostic equipment and software for commercial truck and equipment users, with offerings that span on-highway, off-highway, agriculture, construction, marine and automotive applications. Its product categories include tablets and handhelds, adapters and cables, heavy-duty diagnostic software, software renewals and technical support.
Snap-on generated 2025 sales of $4.7 billion.
