Envoy Solutions Acquires Daycon

Envoy Solutions — the Glenview, Illinois-based holding company that owns and operates North American, WAXIE Sanitary Supply, SWPlus and Southeastern Paper Group — on Tuesday announced the acquisition of Daycon Products Co., Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Daycon is a 79-year-old, family-owned distributor of facility supplies, training services and sustainable solutions that serves thousands of customers in the region. Howard Cohen has served as CEO for more than 15 years.

Envoy Solutions, which rebranded from NW Synergy (NWS) earlier this year, said the acquisition is “the result of Envoy Solutions’ ambitious approach to build a growing portfolio of like-minded and valued companies across the United States. The move further supports Envoy Solutions’ focus on making buildings cleaner and more sustainable, people safer, and operations more productive, every day.”

With Daycon in its portfolio, Envoy now has 2,000 associates, operates a network of 40 distribution centers and supports 43,000 customers nationwide.
