US LBM acquired Holderness Supplies, a manufacturer of structural building components and distributor of engineered wood products in Arizona, and the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas-operations of building product manufacturer and distributor ZyTech Building Systems.

US LBM is No. 3 on MDM’s 2023 Top Building Materials Distributors List.

Holderness Supplies Marks US LBM’s Eight Arizona Manufacturing Location

Located in Tucson, Arizona, Holderness Supplies operates an 11-acre facility where it manufactures floor and roof trusses and distributes specialty lumber, framing materials and engineered wood products to builders across the state.

The acquisition will complement US LBM’s existing operations and further expand its manufacturing capability in Arizona, which is a strong region for new construction, US LBM President and CEO L.T. Gibson. said in a Dec. 5 news release.

With the acquisition of Holderness Supplies, US LBM now operates eight component manufacturing locations in Arizona.

Rich Alejos, who has led Holderness since 1995, will continue to oversee day-to-day operations.

ZyTech Building Acquisition Adds Manufacturing Capability in Texas

ZyTech Building Systems’ Dallas-Fort Worth operations includes a facility where the company primarily designs and manufactures structural building components, such as floor and roof trusses and associated engineered wood products, for professional builders in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Todd Monroe, who has led the plant since it opened in 2015, will continue to lead its day-to-day operations.

“This acquisition expands our network and manufacturing capabilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, which remains under built with continued high demand for housing,” Gibson said in a Dec. 4 news release.

With this acquisition, US LBM now operates 10 locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, including a structural component manufacturing location in Van Alstyne, Texas, that operates under the banner of J.P Hart.
