MRO intelligence provider Verusen has introduced its Explainability AI Agent to enhance data- and context-driven optimization of materials and inventory.

According to Verusen, the Explainability AI Agent brings new transparency to its AI-driven stocking policy recommendations, aimed at helping procurement, operations and supply chain teams make more informed, aligned decisions across the enterprise.
Verusen said it’s Explainability AI Agent reflects the company’s commitment to responsible, enterprise-grade AI. Core principles include:
- No exposure of customer data to third-party LLMs
- Built-in explainability, not added as an afterthought
- User-in-the-loop feedback to continuously improve recommendations

“Too often, enterprise AI is a black box—something you’re expected to trust without question,” Verusen Chief Product Officer Ross Sonnabend said in a May 15 news release. “Our Explainability agent changes that. We’re explaining the ‘why’ behind the recommendations and decisions in a language our users can understand, proving that responsible AI can be powerful and transparent.”
