Chicago, IL-based wire, cable, connectivity and automation distributor Genuine Cable Group (GCG) appointed Glenn Pennycook as its Chief Executive Officer.
Pennycook joins GCF from like distributor EIS, where he served as CEO for five years under private equity ownership. During his tenure, EIS said its revenue more than doubled, margins expanded and several acquisitions were completed.

Before EIS, Pennycook spent 12 years at Belden Corporation, leading the Enterprise platform — a company focused on data communications infrastructure, broadband and media technology.

GCG said that under Pennycook’s leadership, the company is positioned to strengthen its market presence across operations in the U.S., Mexico and the EU.
