Dallas, TX-based electrical supplies distributor Rexel USA acquired Schwing Electrical Supply. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Hempstead, NY, Schwing Electrical Supply is a distributor of electrical products, serving the residential, commercial, industrial and OEM electrical markets across Nassau and Suffolk Countries. Established in in 1960 by Charles Schwing, the company operates from six locations, offers more than 20,000 products to customers.

“This acquisition marks a significant expansion into the Long Island market, which presents attractive growth opportunities,” Rexel USA CEO Roger Little said in an April 1 news release. “By combining our strengths, we will deliver even greater value and service to our customers, associates, and suppliers. I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.”
Rexel USA will operate under the Schwing Electrical Supply name, capitalizing on the strength of Schwing’s established brand and skilled workforce, company officials said.
