On May 1, Industrial rubber, fluid power and automation distribution platform Singer Industrial announced the acquisition of San Antonio, FL-based Conveyor Consulting and Rubber Corp. (CCR).

The move is expected to strengthen Dallas, TX-based Singer Industrial’s capabilities in conveyor system design, maintenance, and material handling solutions across key industrial markets. Singer now has nearly 60 locations across the U.S. and Canada.

CCR is a provider of conveyor consulting, installation, maintenance and rubber products with locations in San Antonio and Miami, FL and Toledo, OH. The company specializes in conveyor belt systems, pulley lagging, splicing services and predictive maintenance solutions, and serves a range of industries including aggregates, mining, manufacturing, food processing and bulk material handling.

“This partnership allows us to continue delivering the technical expertise and responsive service our customers rely on — now with the added strength of Singer Industrial’s national platform,” CCR Owner Ron Fernandes said in a press release. “By combining our conveyor system specialization with Singer’s extensive product offering and distribution network, we are well-positioned to provide greater value and expanded solutions to our customers.”

Singer Industrial CEO Pete Haberbosch said Fernandes and his team have already been “strategizing” with several leaders within the company’s Belt Services Group.
