Omnichannel safety and productiviety equipment distributor GME Supply has acquired Wayne Enterprises — a Houston-based supplier of trade uniforms, personal protective equipment and custom workwear solutions. The acquisition is expected to expand GME Supply’s market reach into the oil & gas and utilities industries.
Wayne Enterprises had been family-owned since its 1977 founding. Today, it has about 200 employees.
Columbia, MO-based GME Supply said it will integrate Wayne Enterprise’s personalized Sales & Customer Support, Uniform Program and Custom Embroidery into its operations. The combined entity will offer a wider range of products and services.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Wayne Enterprises team into our organization. Their reputation for quality products, exceptional customer service, and digital solutions aligns perfectly with our core values,” GME Supply CEO Caleb Messer said in a Sept. 11 news release. “This partnership will allow us to better serve our customers with a more comprehensive suite of solutions and accelerate our growth in key markets.”
“Finding an organization that would be a true win-win-win for our employees, our clients and our vendor partners was critical for me,” Wayne Enterprises CEO Denise Howard added. “We are confident that this partnership will allow our employees to grow professionally, our clients to gain new competitive advantages, and create a powerhouse organization for our vendors to grow with.”
