SK Industrial Acquires Wayne Tool & Supply in New Jersey

SK adds a like single-location distributor to grow its capabilities in the U.S. Northeast.

Industrial and machining products distributor SK Industrial Corporation has acquired Wayne Tool & Supply.

Operating out of a single 8,000-square-foot facility in Kearny, NJ, Wayne Tool is a distributor of cutting tools, abrasives, fasteners and MRO supplies and has been in business since 1957.

SK, meanwhile, similarly provides cutting tools, tool holding, power tools, welding supplies and abrasive products. It was founded in 2019 and is based in Quakertown, PA.

“This is more than just an acquisition, it’s the continuation of a strong relationship built over many years,” SK Owner Frederick Schütte said in a LinkedIn post. “We’ve had the opportunity to work closely with the Wayne Tool team, and that history made this transition a natural fit. This move is about showing our customers exactly where we’re headed and reinforcing our commitment to serve them better.”

The addition provides SK with a stronger local presence and increased stock inventory in the U.S. Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
