2011 Acquisitions: Lewis-Goetz & Co., Industrial Controls Valley Rubber and Gasket (Pittsburgh, PA)
ERIKS made a big splash in late 2011 when it acquired Lewis-Goetz & Co. from The Audax Group. The acquisition doubled its sales platform in North America. In general, ERIKS has been on somewhat of a spending spree in North America over the past couple of years. In 2010, the company bought Rawson Inc., an instrumentation and valve distributor in Houston with 17 branches and more than $100 million in revenue. Another flow control distributor, The Newdell Company, was acquired, as well. In 2011 ERIKS acquired Industrial Controls, a distributor of controls, instrumentation, automation and automated valves in the U.S. with 17 branches and e-commerce/catalog capabilities. Industrial Controls has annual sales of $84 million. ERIKS views Rawson, Industrial Controls and Lewis-Goetz as platforms for growth in their individual product specialties
