Regal Beloit Corp. (NYSE: RBC), Beloit, WI, reported 2012 sales of $3.2 billion, an increase of 12.8 percent from 2011. Profit increased 28.4 percent to $195.6 million.

Electrical segment sales in 2012 of $2.9 billion were up 13.3 percent from 2011. Mechanical segment sales increased 7.9 percent to $296.7 million.

Fourth-quarter sales for Regal Beloit were $715.6 million, a decline of 1.6 percent from the prior-year period. Profit fell 10.7 percent to $29.9 million.

Fourth-quarter Electrical sales decreased 2 percent from 2011 levels, while Mechanical sales increased 3 percent.
