Pittsburgh, PA-based WESCO International, Inc. (NYSE: WCC), No. 5 on the list of the top 25 electrical distributors, reported 2010 sales of $5.06 billion, an increase of 9.5 percent over 2009. Organically, sales grew 7.8 percent. Profit improved 9.9 percent to $115.5 million.

For the fourth quarter, sales were $1.33 billion, an increase of 17.6 percent over the prior year period. Organic sales grew 15.8 percent. Fourth quarter 2010 sales increased 0.5 percent sequentially.
Fourth-quarter profit for the distributor of electrical, industrial, and communications products increased 59.6 percent to $34.8 million.
