Major Service Parts Dealer Selects TECSYS’ WMS

TECSYS Inc., an industry-leading supply chain management software company, announced today that a major CAT® Dealer in the western part of the United Sates has selected TECSYS' warehouse management software (WMS) solutions to efficiently manage their service parts operations, reduce logistics cost and improve service to their customers. With the addition of this dealer, TECSYS’ market share for North American dealers has reached in excess of 25%.

The dealer’s management wanted to go beyond their current level of customer service and launched an initiative to search for a warehouse management system to significantly improve their warehouse operations. After participating in TECSYS' Dealer Advisory Group (DAG) and having had conversations with existing TECSYS CAT dealer customers, they quickly decided in favor of TECSYS.

This dealer provides new and used equipment sales, parts, service and rentals on CAT® brand machines—over 800,000 CAT parts available through their parts catalogue. Its operations span fifteen counties covering over 50,000 square miles and serve its customers through a dedicated employee population of more than 800 in 22 locations across its territory.

This dealer’s service parts management needed to do more with less; reduce their expenses and move away from their labor-intensive logistics operations by deploying a warehouse management system compatible with its dealership operating environment. Furthermore, they needed a system that provides clear and real-time visibility inbound, outbound with true perpetual inventory to support their vital customer services operations.
