Parker Hannifin Corp. (NYSE: PH), Cleveland, OH, expanded its presence in India with the acquisition of two companies.

Parker acquired the filtration business of John Fowler (India) Private Limited based in Bangalore, India. The John Fowler filtration business manufactures air, fuel and hydraulic filters for use in transportation and industrial applications. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquired business has annual sales of $4 million and employs 50 people. The division will be integrated into Parker’s Filtration Group.
Parker also acquired the hydraulics manufacturing division of PIX Transmissions Ltd. based in Nagpur, India. PIX manufactures hydraulic and industrial hose, hose assemblies and fittings primarily used in general engineering, marine, agriculture, mining, construction and HVAC markets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquired business has annual sales of $13 million and employs 470 people. The division will be integrated into Parker’s Fluid Connectors Group.
Sales for both acquisitions will be reported as part of the International Industrial Segment.
