One month after naming its interim president, Sonepar announced June 27 that Serge Leblanc has been appointed as the permanent President of Sonepar Canada.
Leblanc will be based at Sonepar Canada’s office in Laval.
Serge joined Lumen in 1997 and was appointed President in October 2011. He has more than 30 years of experience in the electrical industry. During his time at Lumen, the company implemented North America’s first automated cable cutting and storage system within Sonepar. He also initiated the Salon de Lumen, a bi-annual event featuring over 100 vendors and attended by thousands of customers.

“We are pleased that Serge will be serving in a permanent capacity and are excited about the future under his continued leadership,” Sonepar Americas President Rob Taylor said in the news release.
In recent company news, Sonepar agreed to acquire Joinville, Brazil-based JAV, announced on June 25.
Sonepar North America is ranked No. 2 on MDM’s 2025 Top Distributors List for Electrical/Data/Security.
