Independent distributor cooperative IMARK’s multi-year transformation is undergoing its next phase via a newly-launched parent entity that will unite IMARK’s existing groups and brands with several other industry organizations.
On April 13, IMARK announced the launch of Current Distribution Group as a parent entity that brings together the following groups:
- IMARK Plumbing
- IMARK HVAC
- Luxury Products Group
- Empower Electrical Group
- Victory Irrigation
- Victory Waterworks
- Victory PVF
IMARK said that, through Current Distribution Group, each vertical will maintain its dedicated focus while benefiting from stronger supplier alignment, expanded resources, innovative programs and greater cross-industry collaboration.
“This marks an exciting new chapter in IMARK’s continued growth and long-term commitment to strengthening the independent distribution channel,” the group said in a LinkedIn post. “CDG reflects our commitment to helping independent distributors compete, grow and succeed in an evolving marketplace, while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit that makes this channel so strong.”
Branded as the largest cooperative marketing group in the plumbing industry, IMARK Plumbing has approximately 640 independent distributors that encompass over 1,300 locations across the U.S.
Meanwhile, Empower Electrical Group is a new business vertical comprised of 74 distributor members representing companies that sell electrical products for residential and commercial construction projects.
Overall, CDG’s network of distributors generate over $8 billion in combined annual sales volume.
The move marks another major strategic shift for IMARK, which divested its electrical unit to contractor supplies buying group AD in September 2024.
