Industrial and contractor supplies buying group AD recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of its merger with IMARK Electrical.
Since forming the AD Independent Electrical Supply Division (IESD) last September, the buying group says results have exceeded expectations and are attributed to a strong and growing independent electrical channel. In August, AD reported record first-half 2025 sales, driven by new members from the merger as well as increased supplier purchasing.
“The collaborative culture of IESD has already begun to reshape what’s possible,” Steve Helle, President of Granite City Electric Supply and IESD Co-Board Chair, said. “The merger was a historic step forward — our focus now is on building the future of the independent electrical channel together.”
The AD Independent Electrical Supply Division now represents over 700 independently owned distributors generating more than $44 billion in annual sales.
AD also recently announced the formation of an IESD Supplier Advisory Council.
