Order and invoice automation software provider Conexiom announced the launch of Conexiom Relay — a new AI-native product aimed at helping distributors and manufacturers automate transactions while retaining greater visibility and control over how the technology operates.
Announced Sept. 1, Relay expands Conexiom’s existing automation capabilities by processing unstructured data from sources beyond PDFs, including email threads, spreadsheets, handwritten notes, images and text messages.
The platform ingests documents, classifies them, extracts and validates key information, corrects mismatches and prepares the data for delivery into more than 40 compatible enterprise resource planning systems. Conexiom said the added capabilities are designed to reduce manual data entry for customer service representatives and allow them to focus on orders requiring human intervention, such as rush requests and pricing disputes.
Relay also introduces an Intelligence Console built on Conexiom’s 15 years of order and invoice transaction data. The company positioned the console as an alternative to “black box” AI by allowing users to see, teach and control the rules the platform applies.
The Intelligence Console includes four main components:
- Conexiom Assist: Receives requests, flags exceptions and executes processes according to established workflow rules.
- Playbook: Converts institutional knowledge and user corrections into transparent rule sets that can be repeatedly applied to automated workflows.
- Automation Analytics: Tracks automation performance and identifies opportunities to expand or improve automated processes.
- Revenue Signals: Uses historical and current transaction patterns to recommend potential actions related to upselling, cross-selling, churn risk and vendor cost savings.
“Distributors and manufacturers face a perfect storm — a silver tsunami of retirement, pressure to incorporate AI, and risk from ERP modernization,” Conexiom CEO Michel Feaster said. She added that Relay is purpose-built for order and invoice automation and does not require customers to replace their ERP systems.
Conexiom said its platform processes more than 1.5 billion line items annually at greater than 95% accuracy and serves more than 600 customers across distribution and manufacturing.
