Ingersoll-Rand Sales Up 5.9% in 2019


Ingersoll-Rand plc (NYSE: IR), Swords, Ireland, reported sales for 2019 of $16.6 billion, a 5.9% increase from the previous year. Profit increased 5.5% to $1.4 billion.

Sales for the fourth quarter were $4.2 billion, a 6.5% increase over the same period a year ago. Profit was $296.1 million compared to $254 million in the previous fourth quarter.

Industrial segment sales were $967 million, up 8% from the same quarter a year ago. Climate segment sales were $3.2 billion for the fourth quarter, an increase of 6% compared to the same period a year earlier.
