Independent packaging distributor and hybrid manufacturer AE Global (AEG) announced the acquisition of Sun Packaging Technologies — a South Florida-based industrial packaging distributor with expertise in equipment and automation sales, systems integration and technical service.

A Dec. 7 AE Global news release stated that Sun Packaging, founded in 1991 by Len and Michael Goldstein, has built a 34-year legacy as a partner to manufacturers seeking consumables and end-of-line automation solutions. The acquisition advances AE Global’s strategy to scale its automation equipment and service division.

“SunPac further enhances our ability to sell, deploy and support equipment and automation at scale,” said Josh Berman, Director of Packaging at AE Global. “Their reputation for excellence and customer-centric approach aligns perfectly with our mission to provide unparalleled service and innovative packaging solutions nationwide.”

AE Global added that, with the addition of Sun Packaging, the company’s industrial packaging division is now the largest industrial packaging sales and service organization in Florida, including 35 sales professionals and seven dedicated packaging technicians.

As part of the transaction, President Michael Goldstein and the entire Sun Packaging team will remain with the business, ensuring continuity for existing customers.
