In its second acquisition ever, motion and control technologies distributor Aberdeen Dynamics acquired Southwest Seal & Supply.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Albuquerque, NM, Southwest Seal & Supply distributes sealing, hydraulic hose, fitting, gasketing and fluid control products across the Southwest. Founded in 1979, the company operates two ParkerStore locations in El Paso, TX and Albuquerque, NM.

Tulsa, OK-based Aberdeen provides motion and control solutions, including fluid power design, hydraulic systems, pneumatic control and electromechanical products. The company’s brands include Aberdeen Dynamics, Fluid Specialties, Industrial Specialties, VAltec CNC and now Southwest Seal & Supply.
Aberdeen said the acquisition expands its footprint in Texas and New Mexico and makes it the sole authorized Parker Hannifin distributor for fluid conveyance, hydraulic and pneumatic technologies in New Mexico, while also broadening its engineering and service capabilities.
Aberdeen added that Southwest Seal & Supply employees will join its employee ownership program.

“Their established presence in the Southwest, combined with a shared commitment to quality and service, makes this a powerful step forward in expanding our footprint and capabilities,” Aberdeen Dynamics President Mike Spanier said in an Aug. 12 news release.
Aberdeen’s first acquisition was of Oklahoma-based Industrial Specialties, announced on Nov. 1, 2023.
