MRO replacement parts distributor Motion announced the opening of its first Canadian Motion Conveyance Solutions shop.

According to a May 28 news release, the 9,600-square-foot facility is designed to strengthen Motion’s service capabilities across Western Canada. Officially opened on May 1, the shop is located at:

Motion stated that its Calgary facility features advanced belting technology and provides both standard and custom services, specializing in fluid conveyance, essential moving components, conveyor belting, hoses, rubber parts and on-site field services. These services include:

• Complete Black Belt Solutions: Standard and custom belts tailored to specific applications, with value-added services like slitting, hole punching, cleat and V-guide installation, flanged edges and vulcanization (field or shop).
• Industry Focus: Expertise in key sectors including cement, aggregates, forestry, mining, manufacturing, food and beverage, distribution and warehousing.
• Maintenance & Repairs: Preventive services to reduce downtime, including splicing, component replacement, installation and inspections.
• Consulting Services: Process improvement support to optimize material handling and operational efficiency.

Motion’s most recent previous acquisition was of California-based Thomspon Industrial Supply, announced on Feb. 12.
