MRO replacement parts distributor Motion agreed to acquire the operating assets of Maguire Bearing Company, Ltd.
Terms were not disclosed, but the transaction is expected to close at the end of February 2025.

Hawaii-based Maguire Bearing is an industrial distributor serving the surrounding Pacific Rim and Hawaii market since 1955 with an array of repair products, including bearings, coupling, v-belts, electric motors and more. The company was established by William Maquire, and his son John Maquire currently leads the company and will see the transition through. Maguire Bearing operates from its headquarters in Honolulu with an additional three branches in Kapolei, Kahului and Hilo.

Motion made five acquisitions in 2024, including of Blairsville, PA-based International Conveyor and Rubber, completed on Dec. 3. Maguire is already Motion’s second deal of 2025, following Lubbock, TX-based M.B. McKee, completed on Jan. 13.
Motion was ranked No. 2 on MDM’s 2024 Top Distributors List for Industrial Supplies, No. 2 for MRO, No. 1 for Power Transmission/Bearings, No. 3 for Fluid Power and No. 2 for Hose/Hose Accessories.
