Private equity firm Aurelius will acquire the information technology division of DCC Technology, in a move that will add technology distribution to its portfolio.
The acquisition of Exertis UK and Ireland, which generated about $2.6 billion in revenue, offers “significant operational improvement potential,” Aurelius officials said in a press release. The transaction values the business at a total enterprise value of about $134 million on a cash- and debt-free and normalized working capital basis, DCC officials said.
Burnley, Lancashire-based Exertis distributes a range of technology products and services to both consumer and business clients, representing numerous blue-chip vendors across the United Kingdom and Ireland. It has national distribution hubs in Burnley and Dublin.
Aurelius plans to “drive earnings growth through a combination of operational improvements and strategic expansion.” The firm will deploy its WaterRise team of in-house specialists to deliver a targeted transformation program and capitalize on an anticipated recovery in tech sector demand, officials said.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
