Pumps and industrial equipment manufacturer Ingersoll Rand acquired Termomeccanica Industrial Compressors S.p.A and its subsidiary Adicomp S.p.A for approximately €160 million (EUR) or $188 million (USD).
TMIC specializes in the development, manufacturing and commercialization of oil-injected screw compressors for both air and gas applications. Adicomp delivers engineered-to-order (ETO) solutions tailored for the renewable natural gas (RNG) sector. Based in Italy, TMIC and Adicomp maintain a footprint in North America and have recently expanded operations into Brazil and India.

Ingersoll Rand said both companies will become part of the Industrial Technologies and Services (IT&S) segment.
“TMIC/Adicomp are leading businesses in their respective industries, and today we welcome them to Ingersoll Rand,” Ingersoll Rand Chairman and CEO Vicente Reynal said in a July 1 news release. “These companies strengthen our core capabilities and broaden our service offerings, enabling us to deliver greater value to our customers while advancing our long-term growth strategy for shareholders. Additionally, these companies reflect the strength of our M&A flywheel and reaffirm our ability to partner with family-owned businesses on a proprietary basis.”
Ingersoll Rand’s most recent previous acquisition was of U.S.-based G&D Chillers and Canada-based Advanced Gas Technologies for a combined price of approximately $27 million, announced on April 25.
