Filtration, fluid connectors and motion control products manufacturer Parker Hannifin announced the appointment of Matthew Jacobson to Vice President and President of Filtration Group, effective July 1.
Jacobson will succeed Robert Malone, who is expected to retire on Aug. 31.

Malone joined Parker in 2013 as VP of Operations for the Filtration Group and became President in 2014, leading major growth, the integration of CLARCOR and advancing The Win Strategy. He will remain a VP through July 1, to support a smooth transition.
Jacobson brings over 20 years of operational leadership at Parker, having advanced through roles in engineering, supply chain and general management across multiple divisions. He was named VP of Operations for the Motion Systems Group in 2021, following his role as Group VP of Supply Chain.

“Rob has firmly established Parker as a global leader in this important growth market,” Parker Hannifin Chairman and CEO Jenny Parmentier said in a May 8 news release. “Our robust succession planning process allows us to identify and develop outstanding leaders like Matt to seamlessly step into higher leadership roles and ensure the group’s continued success. Matt’s many years of experience as an operational leader within Parker will allow him to build on the strong foundation Rob has put in place.”
Parker Hannifin released its 2025 third quarter financial results on May 1, reporting sales of $5.0 billion year-over-year, while a 1% increase in organic growth year-over-year. Meanwhile, net profit of $961 million increased 32% year-over-year.
