Filtration, fluid connectors and motion control products manufacturer Parker Hannifin launched its Mobile Electrification Technology Center (METC) program through the company’s Motion Systems Group.
The METC offers support to manufacturers through the process of transitioning mobile equipment systems from diesel engines to electric motors. The program offers technical assistance in reducing energy consumption, extending operating range and enhancing overall efficiency.

Parker Hannifin said the program helps companies tackle the challenges of electrifying mobile equipment, including integrating hydraulic, electrical and control systems, as well as meeting safety, noise and cost standards.
“We are excited to partner with these outstanding distributors at a higher level,” Motion Systems Group VP of Sales and Marketing Mark Schoessler said in a March 24 company news release. “Their commitment to designing innovative mobile electrification systems aligns perfectly with our vision to empower machine manufacturers in reducing their environmental footprint while enhancing operational efficiency.”

Parker Hannifin’s METC website said that Nott Company (Arden Hills, MN) and Depatie Fluid Power (Portage, MI) were the first two distributors to be certified for the program.
