Builders FirstSource has acquired Gleckler and Sons Contracting and Gleckler and Sons Building Supplies, the distributor confirmed to MDM.

The acquisition was shared Sept. 1. Financial terms were not disclosed, and Builders FirstSource provided no additional details.

Jacksonville, FL-based Gleckler and Sons Building Supplies is a family-owned supplier serving regional and national homebuilders across central, northeast and western Florida. Its product portfolio includes manufactured roof and floor trusses, framing lumber, interior and exterior doors, millwork, trim and exterior building products.

Gleckler and Sons Construction provides residential framing labor and materials, primarily serving builders in northeast Florida. Its services span the complete framing process, including project bidding, material and labor scheduling, jobsite inventory management, construction oversight and coordination with local inspectors.

The acquisition expands Builders FirstSource’s value-added manufacturing and installation capabilities in Florida. The Irving, TX-based company manufactures, supplies and installs structural and related building products for professional builders in new residential construction and repair and remodeling markets.

The deal follows Builders FirstSource’s Aug. 25 strategic partnership with construction technology provider Digs. Builders FirstSource is leading Digs’ $25.3 million Series A funding round and entered a five-year commercial agreement aimed at integrating Digs’ artificial intelligence capabilities into its digital ecosystem.

Builders FirstSource reported second-quarter 2026 net sales of $3.86 billion, down 8.8% year-over-year amid weaker housing starts and commodity deflation. Acquisitions contributed 0.9% to quarterly sales growth. The company lowered its full-year sales forecast to $14 billion-$14.8 billion.

Builders FirstSource ranked No. 2 on MDM’s 2026 Top Distributors List for Building Materials/Construction, based on $15.2 billion in 2025 revenue.
