Sonepar Acquires Belgian Company

Cebeo, an electrical distributor and member of the Sonepar Group, has acquired Belgian company Electro Meers.

Belgium-based electrical distributor and Sonepar Group member Cebeo has acquired Electro Meers, a distributor of electro-technical material also based in Belgium.

Financial terms were not announced. The deal is expected to take effect April 1.

Electro Meers accounts for an annual turnover of approximately €5 million (USD $5.658 million). The four associates of Electro Meers will be joining Cebeo.

With this acquisition, Cebeo is expected to expand its presence in the province of Limburg to six branches.

The company boasts a turnover of €608 million (USD $688.1 million), 1100 employees and 55 branches.
