The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) partnered with AI Applied Consortium (AAIC) to expedite the adoption of AI within the wholesale distribution sector.
As part of the partnership, NAW will lead the Wholesale Distribution Advisory Council — an AAIC initiative for 2025 — focused on driving AI innovation in supply chain management, inventory and workforce productivity.
According to an April 7 news release, the council will bring together executives from across the distribution sector to develop real-world use cases, best practices and scalable AI solutions. This supports AAIC’s mission to promote responsible AI across sectors like manufacturing, energy, finance, public services, retail and social goods.
“Partnering with NAW allows us to bring the power of applied AI to the front lines of supply chains, empowering distributors with tools that improve efficiency, decision-making, and customer outcomes,” AAIC Chairperson Konrad Konarski said in the news release.
Konarski will be a mainstage speaker at MDM’s SHIFT Conference which is set to take place in Denver, CO from May 13-15.
