Roofing and other building materials distributor Beacon partnered with roofing automation startup Renovate Robotics.
Based in Brooklyn, NY, Renovate Robotics is a startup creating autonomous roofing robots aimed at improving safety and productivity for contractors. Its first robot, Rufus, is designed to install asphalt shingles on residential roofs and is set to debut with contractors in
New Jersey and Pennsylvania later this year.

On March 7, Beacon announced that it acquired Menlo Park, CA-based DM Figley Company, Inc.
