Chemicals distributor Colonial Chemical Solutions (CCS/Colonial Chemicals), a division of Colonial Group Inc., has acquired Integrity Partners Group (IPG) — a specialty chemical distribution platform that includes the legacy businesses of Chemisphere and Chemsolv. Terms were not disclosed.

Savannah, GA-based CCS expects to gain an expanded geographic footprint with the acquisition. The company stated the acquisition adds complementary assets, capabilities and expertise that will enhance its ability to serve customers across more markets and applications.
“We are excited to integrate IPG’s people, assets and capabilities into Colonial Chemicals’ existing platform,” Colonial Chemical Solutions President Rob Roberts said in an April 2 news release. “We see this as a natural extension of our chemical distribution business. Our initial focus is a thoughtful integration of IPG into CCS, guided by the proven practices that have driven success across both organizations. Once integrated, our priority is to continue strengthening our customer and supplier partnerships, supporting long-term growth and continuing to build a world-class chemical distribution and handling network.”
The combined organization will operate as an integrated chemical distribution and handling company, bringing together the assets and expertise of Colonial Chemicals, Chemisphere and Chemsolv. Colonial said operations will continue as usual, with all existing facilities remaining active. IPG has locations in Roanoke, VA (Chemsolv), St. Louis, MO (Chemisphere) and Eden, NC (Eden Custom Processing).
“The IPG team has been deliberately driving improvements, adding capabilities, expanding our reach into desired customer end markets while building a platform to support the growth initiatives of our loyal customers and suppliers,” said Darren Birkelbach, CEO of Integrity Partners Group. “As a strategic component of Colonial Chemicals, I am confident this acquisition represents an incredible opportunity to accelerate the momentum we’ve created and further strengthen its position in the chemical distribution market.”
