Omaha, NE-based fasteners, tools and construction supplies distributor SouthernCarlson announced March 18 that it has acquired Greenwald Supply Direct.
It marks the first deal for SouthernCarlson since it was acquired in January from Kyocera Corp. by TrueLink Capital. SouthernCarlson was formed in late 2015 through the merger of Carlson Systems, (Omaha), Kentec (Snellville, GA), Southern Fastening Systems (Muscle Shoals, AL) and Duo-Fast Carolinas (Charlotte, NC). It was then acquired by Kyocera in 2019.
“GSD’s reputation for first-class service and deep customer relationships fits perfectly with our culture,” said Andrei Militaru, Southern Carlson President and CEO. “Together, we’ll strengthen the support we provide contractors across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. SouthernCarlson said Greenwald will continue to operate with its current branding and serve customers from its Hyattsville location.
“Our team has been proud to serve contractors throughout the Mid-Atlantic for decades, and with this partnership, we are excited to offer them enhanced access to additional product breadth, jobsite solutions and service capabilities,” added company founder and CEO David Greenwald. “From our standpoint, this is a win-win.”
