Electrical supplies distributor Border States Sates has moved four veteran employee-owners into new vice president roles, with each VP focused on a critical area of the Fargo, ND-based business. In an Oct. 8 news release the company called the appointments, “a  strategic step forward for the company.”
- Nick Longfors, an employee-owner since 2002, has been named VP Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis. Throughout his two decades with the company, Langfors has held leadership roles in finance and operations.
- Cedrick Phillips, who joined Border States since 2012, will serve as VP Services. After joining the company as a member of Border States’ Distribution Leadership Trainee Program he’s gone on to various roles in Operations, Warehouse and Branch Management. He was appointed Director of Services in 2022.
- Tom Roehrich, who joined Border States in 2018 as a Strategic Pricing Manager, has been named VP Category Management. Â He most recently served as Senior Director of Category Management.
- Lori Schramm, who joined Border States in 2021 as Director of Finance – Corporate Controller has been named VP Finance, Corporate Controller.  Prior to joining Border Sates, Schramm held leadership roles in finance and public accounting.
Border States was No. 7 on MDM’s 2025 Top Distributors List for Electrical/Data/Security products.
