LindFast to Diversify with AZ Wire & Cable Acquisition 

It nets the master distributor — primarily known for its fastener offerings — nine new locations across the U.S. and gives it a strong footfold in the wire and cable market.

Fasteners master distributor LindFast Solutions Group (LSG), a Nautic Partners portfolio company, announced it signed an agreement to acquire AZ Wire & Cable (AZ), a MFG Partners company on Nov. 26. The transaction, subject to customary closing conditions and required regulatory filings, is expected to close by year‑end.

According to a Dec. 15 news release, AZ Wire & Cable will continue operating independently under its current ownership pending the close, as well as after. AZ  is a master distributor of industrial, commercial, and specialty wire and cable, offering a full range of value-added services including cutting, reeling, paralleling, striping and coiling. Founded in 1988, the company is headquartered in Northbrook, IL and has eight additional locations in New York, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, California and Oregon.

Meanwhile, LSG distributes standard and specialty fasteners — including metric, imperial, stainless and exotic varieties — as well as tapes and specialty manufacturing products. The company is headquartered in Blaine, MN.

Nautic Partners acquired LSG in 2019 in partnership with management. In 2024, LSG acquired manufacturer Big Bolt and fellow master distributor Merco Tape.

LindFast Solutions Group also recently announced the appointment of Heather Skiba as Senior Vice President of Operations for North America, effective Dec. 1.

“The partnership with LSG represents an exciting milestone for AZ as we continue our growth journey,” added Todd Anixter, AZ’s Executive Vice President. “By combining with LSG, we look forward to delivering our wire and cable products and services to LSG’s vast network of facilities and customers.”
