Rexel USA announced July 14 that it has acquired DEE Electronics, expanding the electrical supplies distributor into specialized electronic component distribution, assembly and supply chain services for original equipment manufacturers.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1959 and headquartered in Cedar Rapids, IA, DEE has more than 200 employees and serves OEM customers across North America. Its capabilities include wire harnesses, cable assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies, control panels, control box assemblies, custom kitting, component sourcing and logistics services.

DEE supports customers in HVAC, industrial automation, transportation, agriculture, construction equipment and data center infrastructure. Its components and assemblies are incorporated into systems that power, cool, control and connect critical infrastructure.

The deal represents an expansion beyond Rexel USA’s core electrical distribution business, which primarily supplies electrical, lighting, automation and related products to contractors and commercial, industrial and utility customers. DEE combines electronic component distribution with manufacturing and value-added services designed specifically for OEM production and supply chains.

“DEE also increases our exposure to attractive long-term growth markets, including data center infrastructure,” Rexel USA CEO Roger Little said in the announcement. “As investment in data centers and the technologies that support them continues to accelerate, DEE’s expertise and customer relationships position us to participate in that growth while expanding the services and solutions we bring to customers.”

DEE will join Rexel USA’s Advanced Services organization, led by Senior Vice President Hani Masoudi. Rexel said the combination will pair DEE’s assembly, sourcing and supply chain expertise with Rexel’s national footprint, supplier relationships and market reach.

DEE President Todd Gifford said joining Rexel will provide the company with additional resources and expanded supplier relationships while preserving its workforce, culture and customer focus.

The acquisition follows Rexel USA’s May 12 agreement to acquire Mokena, IL-based Revere Electrical Supply — an industrial automation and electrical distributor with 10 branches in Illinois and Wisconsin. Revere generated approximately $330 million in 2025 revenue and was identified as Rexel’s 16th North American acquisition since 2020.

Rexel USA operates more than 450 warehouse storefronts under banners including Rexel, Gexpro, Mayer, Talley and Platt Electric Supply. On MDM’s 2026 Top Distributors Lists, Rexel was No. 4 for Electrical.
