Charleston, SC-based electrical supplies distributor Sonepar announced the appointment of Richard Landry as Senior Vice President of Data Center Solutions and Datacom in the U.S., effective Nov. 1.
In this newly created role, Landry will report directly to Dana Mouritzen, Chief Operating Officer of Sonepar in the U.S. and lead a business development team and collaborate with Sonepar’s U.S. operating companies and strategic accounts vertical leaders.
Landry brings over two decades of industry experience to the role. He joined Crawford, a Sonepar company, in 2020. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Industrial Business for Crawford.
“Richard’s leadership and deep industry relationships position him perfectly to lead our strategic efforts in the data center and datacom segments,” said Rob Taylor, President Sonepar Americas. “His ability to scale business and build high-performing teams will be instrumental as we continue to invest in these fast-growing markets.”
“Sonepar has a tremendous opportunity to deliver value to data center customers in the U.S. and around the globe,” said Landry. “I’m honored to take on this new challenge and solidify our position as an embedded partner to general and electrical contractors, engineering and procurement firms, and owners and operators in data center construction and maintenance.”
Sonepar also announced that Alan Rosenfeld, East Region President in the U.S., will retire on Jan. 3, 2026, following a 43-year career in the electrical distribution industry. Rosenfeld’s successor will be named in the coming months.
Sonepar was No. 2 on MDM’s 2025 Top Distributors List for Electrical/Data/Security.
