Electronic and electrical components master distributor Waldom Electronics has partnered with Phoenix Contact USA on a new program that aims to result in distributors sending less excess inventory to landfills.
Under the agreement, authorized distributors can send excess inventory to Waldom for potential resale. Waldom will manage this inventory and may resell it to other authorized distributors. The agreement also permits Waldom to allocate a portion of sales to environmental and tree-planting initiatives.

Based in Germany, Phoenix Contact is a global supplier of products and solutions for electrification, networking and automation. The company’s U.S. headquarters are located in Middletown, PA. Waldom said the program aligns with Phoenix Contact’s objective to achieve a carbon-neutral value chain by 2030.
“We’re proud to partner with Phoenix Contact — a company that shares our deep commitment to sustainability,” Waldom Electronics CEO Don Akery said in an Aug. 18 news release. “Together, we’re creating more responsible ways to manage slow-moving and excess inventory, advance circularity and support environmental initiatives like tree planting. Partnerships like this turn shared values into meaningful impact.”
