Pumping solutions and MROP supplies distributor DXP Enterprises completed the acquisition of Hennesy Mechanical Sales, a distributor and manufacturer representative which serves the municipal water and wastewater treatment markets.
Hennesy Mechanical Sales provides industrial pump sales, service and repair in Arizona, New Mexico and West Texas. The addition of the Phoenix, AZ-based company will enhance Houston-based DXP’s aftermarket and service capabilities, company officials said in a Jan. 8 news release.

The deal — signed Jan. 2 — follows three acquisitions in 2023 and will further the company’s strategy to grow the DXP Water platform.
“We will continue to execute on our strategic priorities and strategy of making acquisitions in markets and business models where we can continue to enhance and propel DXP into the future,” DXP Chief Financial Officer Kent Yee said. “We look forward to continuing this path in 2024 as we grow, improve, and scale DXP.”
DXP was No. 22 on MDM’s 2023 Top Industrial Distributors List, and No. 10 for MRO distributors.
