Roseville, MI-based fastener distributor All State Fastener (ASF) announced an overhaul to its senior leadership team as part of a broader mandate to drive growth through customer diversification, strategic acquisition of privately held fastener companies and technology investment.
The family-owned distributor — which serves the automotive, industrial and commercial fastener markets — appointed Dan Hill as CEO. Hill most recently served as CEO of private equity-backed Ferraro Foods. Previously, he served as CEO of Würth Industry North America (WINA), No. 2 on MDM’s list of Top Fastener Distributors, and as Executive Vice President of the Würth Group.
“For more than 62 years, ASF has been recognized for quality, reliability, and our entrepreneurial spirit,” said company co-owner Paula Giorgio, speaking on behalf of the ASF Board. “Dan brings a proven record of scaling privately held distribution businesses into global powerhouses. Having served on our Board, Dan really understands ASF’s culture, shares our growth vision, and has already immersed himself in our operations and people. We are confident that Dan and his leadership team will set ASF on a course for long-term success.”
Along with Hill, the company appointed other former Würth leaders to their newly appointed leadership team:
- Andrew Taylor, Chief Operating Officer — an ASF executive with “deep institutional knowledge.”
- Jon DeRyckere, Chief Financial Officer, has served in senior finance roles including as Controller and Vice President of Finance for a large national home services company.
- Laura Locker, Director of Human Resources — formerly with RoboVent Solutions Group in the manufacturing sector — specializes in HR strategy, compliance, and talent acquisition and development.
- Patrick Muldowney, Director of Supply Chain, most recently led purchasing and strategic sourcing both domestically and internationally with Würth Industry North America.
- TJ Downey, Director of Sales & Operations, comes from Würth Industry North America, where he drove sales and operational performance across multiple business units.
- Darin Sirois, Director of Project Management, is a veteran ASF leader with extensive supply chain and logistics experience, who will lead high growth projects and customer implementations.
- Mersija Mehmedovic, Director of Automotive Sales, has spent more than 20 years at ASF and has experience “transforming sales teams and exceeding revenue targets.”
“I’m thrilled to be coming back to an industry I truly love, especially to ASF, a company that’s ready to compete and win on a global scale,” Hill said. “With our entrepreneurial foundation, strong family ownership, and now a world-class leadership team, we are positioned to modernize our systems, diversify and expand our customer base, and invest in the incredible people who make ASF what it is today.”
ASF Co-Owner and Board Member Nick Giorgio added: “All State Fastener is moving forward with renewed focus and determination to strengthen our presence in the fastener industry. We’re committed to sales and operational excellence, with a clear focus on attracting and retaining top talent and partnering with the best companies in American manufacturing and beyond. This is not just a goal; it’s a promise. We are fully committed and prepared to dedicate the necessary resources to realize this vision for our company.”
