Fasteners manufacturer and distributor Optimas Solutions has appointed a new Vice President of Commercial Development, tapping a longtime fastener veteran for the role.
Optimas announced Nov. 20 that it has welcomed John Dick for the senior leadership role that is focused on accelerating the company’s international commercial strategy and supporting full alignment with product-led, supplier-led led and customer-led growth ambitions.

Dick has over 24 years of global experience across the fastener, distribution and manufacturing industries, bringing deep experience in procurement, commercial development, supplier strategy and operational excellence.
Most recently, Dick was Global Procurement Director for Trifast from 2020 through this past June. Before that, he spent 7 years as Global Procurement Director at Cooper and Turner and was previously at Anixter from 2005-2013.
In a news release, Optimas detailed that Dick’s career highlights include leading global teams across the U.K., Europe, APAC and U.S.; managing procurement budgets up to $460 million; delivering multimillion-pound savings and efficiency gains; launching international sites and supporting expansion into new markets; implementing digital transformation and operational improvements; and building strategic supplier networks and long-term commercial agreements.
At Optimas, Dick will partner closely with regional and global teams to:
- Strengthen and diversify the company’s supplier strategy
- Support product portfolio growth and international deployment
- Enhance customer value proposition through improved commercial and operational alignment
- Drive integration, scalability and acceleration within the Optimas commercial engine
