Welding, safety and industrial supplies distributor Airgas — owned by France-based Air Liquide — announced in late March that it acquired the packaged gas and welding distribution division of Hust Brothers.
The transaction occurred at the end of 2025.
Founded in 1919 and based in Northern California, Hust Brothers’ broader offering provides automotive parts and services from its single location in Marysville, where it has an auto parts store, brake shop, welding store, machine shop and DriveLine shop.
Airgas has acquired the Hust Brothers’ welding store in nearby Yuba City, CA, along with two employees who service it. The shop supplies industrial packaged gases and welding PPE to industrial and agricultural customers in the area.
“The acquisition of the packaged gas and welding distribution division of Hust Brothers Inc. demonstrates that Airgas continues to be the exit plan of choice for a variety of independent distributors,” Airgas Corporate Development leader Mike Eaton said in a news release. “We thank the business owners for their trust in Airgas, and we look forward to continuing to offer the excellent service that Hust Brothers Inc. customers have come to expect.”
