Industrial gases and welding supplies distributors Central McGowan and Minneapolis Oxygen (MO2) announced the merger of both companies on March 10. Terms were not disclosed.
Established in 1947, Central McGowan offers a variety of products, including gases, dry ice, welding and industrial equipment, tools, supplies, abrasives, safety gear and consumables, as well as automation and robotic technologies and solutions. Based in St. Cloud, MN, the distributor serves a range of industries, such as welding, industrial, manufacturing, food and beverage, commercial/residential cleaning and industrial blasting, with eight locations across three states.

Family-owned MOZ supplies gas and welding products to customers in the Twin Cities, Western Wisconsin and Duluth/Iron Range areas. With five locations and over 50 employees, the company is also a partial owner of the Absolute Air Plant.

According to the release, both companies will continue to operate under their respective names during the first year. Furthermore, the companies said the merger will create a stronger, more dynamic organization, combining their resources to better serve customers.
