Fabiano Brothers — a Bay City, MI-based AB InBev distributor — announced Feb. 20 that it is set to acquire Huron Distributors in a move that will expand Fabiano’s reach across northern Michigan.
The expansion will add Huron’s two distribution facilities in Alpena and Indian River, MI, with the transaction expected to close by the end of the month. In business since 1979, Huron is led by President James Johnston.
Fabiano currently serves markets of the Bay City-Saginaw-Midland area along Saginaw Bay on the state’s east coast, the Detroit metro area and Wisconsin. The company is led by brothers Joseph and Jim Fabiano.
Fabiano’s roots date back to 1885. Fourth-generation, family-owned, the company is the largest beer distributor in Michigan with more than 400 employees and is one of AB InBev’s 20 largest wholesalers nationally.Â
