Broadline food and foodservice products distributor Cheney Brothers announced March 11 that it is expanding its operations in Florence, SC with a $42.5 million investment.
The project will expand the Florida-based company’s South Carolina distribution facility that first broke ground in 2023 and is now in operation.
The expansion is expected to create 85 new jobs. Cheney received job development credits in coordination with the project.
Cheney Brothers was acquired by Performance Food Group in October 2024 for $2.1 billion.
Family-owned since 1925, Cheney Brothers has approximately 4,000 employees and annual sales of over $3 billion.
