Beverage alcohol distributor Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits announced a pair of acquisitions on March 23 and March 19, strengthening its presence and capabilities in New York and Colorado.

Clare Rose Inc.

In New York, Southern Glazer’s will acquire Clare Rose Inc. —a beverage alcohol distributor on Long Island.

The deal is expected to close during the first half of 2026.

Upon closing, the business will become part of Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company of New York — the company’s dedicated beverage division in the state.

The transaction includes distribution of Anheuser-Busch’s full product portfolio currently sold in the Long Island area — including beer brands Michelob ULTRA, Busch Light, Budweiser and Bud Light, as well as hard beverages such as Cutwater Spirits, NÜTRL Vodka Seltzer and BeatBox Beverages — to a new energy drink line called Phorm Energy, along with Tilray Brands, Pabst Brewing Company and a range of brands from additional suppliers.

Upon closing, Southern Glazer’s plans to continue operations out of the company’s existing Yaphank, Long Island facility as part of Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company of New York and begin distributing the Clare Rose portfolio within the Long Island area serviced by this operation, covering Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Eagle Rock Distributing

Southern Glazer’s is set to acquire the Colorado operations of Eagle Rock Distributing Co. — a total beverage distributor based in Norcross, GA, with Colorado operations in Monument.

The deal is expected to close in the summer of 2026 and is described by Southern Glazer’s as a powerful opportunity to distributor Anheuser-Busch’s full product portfolio currently sold in Colorado, which includes the aforementioned brands.

Upon closing, Southern Glazer’s plans to continue operations out of Eagle Rock’s existing facilities and distribute its portfolio of products across the Colorado markets it currently serves.
