Foodservice distribution giant Sysco Corp. disclosed in a March 27 Form 8-K filing that Tom Peck, the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Digital Officer, will resign effective April 10.
According to the filing, Peck is departing to pursue another opportunity outside the industry. Sysco stated there were no disagreements between Peck and the company regarding its operations, policies or practices.
Peck has served in a top technology leadership role at Sysco since the start of 2021, overseeing the company’s digital strategy, IT operations and technology-driven initiatives aimed at modernizing its business and customer experience.
The leadership change comes just three days before Sysco announced it had reached a deal to acquire Jetro Restaurant Depot in a transaction valued at approximately $29 billion.
Sysco indicated in its filing that Peck will remain in his role through April 10, with no additional details provided regarding succession or interim leadership for the position.
The company has not publicly announced a replacement for the chief information and digital officer role.
Sysco is one of the largest global foodservice distribution companies, serving restaurants, healthcare facilities and other institutional customers.
