Johnstone Supply has acquired Dunphey-Smith Supply — a fellow HVAC parts and equipment distributor based with New Jersey locations in Union and Manasquan.

Founded in 1919 and serving the central New Jersey area, Dunphey-Smith is a member of HARDI, Blue Hawk HVACR Distributor Cooperative and ACCA.

Johnstone Supply announced the tuck-in acquisition in an early February LinkedIn post, stating: “This acquisition brings together two organizations with a shared commitment to exceptional service, strong relationships, and long-term success in the HVACR industry. Most importantly, it allows us to better serve our customers, and partners, by combining expertise, resources and capabilities.”

Portland, OR-based Johnstone Supply provides HVAC products and services to more than 350 independently owned and nearly 120 company-owned wholesale locations across the U.S. and Canada., backed by six regional distribution centers. The company has over $4.5 billion in annual revenue.

“This combination strengthens our ability to provide improved product availability, deeper technical expertise and enhanced support, all while maintaining the personal, responsive service that defines both organizations,” the company added.
